HSU installed a 4,000 square foot child care development center (SEEC) in a portable facility at the National American History Museum. The project was performed in a high-security, restricted access area on the National Mall.

Pre-engineered metal, concrete and pile work, foundation, and retaining walls were installed. Extensive sitework and landscaping were also completed, and utilities, stormwater management, irrigation, and interior finishes were also installed for multiple rooms in the center.

The SEEC is a model early childhood program that provides a high-quality educational program for young children and advances educational opportunities for all children by sharing SEEC’s expertise on a national level, thereby furthering the education mandate of the Smithsonian Institution.
